Magnus Unveils the Magnus Cast Intake Manifold
Concord, Ontario – July 28th, 2008 – Magnus Motorsports is proud to
unveil its latest offering to the Mitsubishi tuning market – the Magnus Cast
Intake Manifold. After two years of development, the Cast Intake Manifold,
specifically designed for the popular Mitsubishi EVO, has been perfected and is
ready for purchase through Magnus’ dealer distribution network. Magnus has
representation through its dealer network in every continent around the world
and has confirmed product availability by September 1st, 2008.
Magnus has invested a great deal in R & D on this new product with 12
prototypes, CFD testing, flowbench testing, dyno testing as well as countless
hours engineering to perfect the Manifold prior to releasing it into the
marketplace. The design was completed entirely in house on the companies 3 CNC
machines and the end result was a product far superior to anything previously
released in the market. Final dynotesting has shown consistent gains of 50 AWHP
and was designed around the basis of being able to flow 100 lb/min (1000hp) of
air at 60 PSI maintaining equal flow distribution. This new Magnus Intake
Manifold also offers a great deal of scale-ability in its application by
allowing for various throttle body sizes from stock right up to 100mm. A strong
focus on transient response included moving to a unique shape of the manifold
which allowed Magnus to further improve velocity and boost response between
shifts. Integrated Velocity stacks feature a unique profile that have been
engineered to allow uniform laminar flow and proper port velocity to provide the
most power and response for various throttle conditions. The results are truly
astounding.
"Today we are turning a new leaf at Magnus Motorsports. The fruits of our labor
have truly paid off with this new release and we have once again set the
benchmark of what aftermarket performance parts can achieve" says Marco
Passante, spokesperson for Magnus Motorsports. Passante, a recognized pioneer in
the import tuning industry and a notorious perfectionist, has been instrumental
in the design and development of the Cast Intake Manifold from its inception and
has fine tuned every detail on this product to maximize performance gains.
Passante sums it up best by saying "Magnus has never rested on our laurels, the
passion to make things better is present in every person who works here. This
new manifold is a product of that passion, it means big power, and big power
sooner."
