Pistons
Magnus has been at the forefront of Mitsubishi piston design and technology for over 10 years. Within this time we have produced every type of combination of piston that you could possibly dream of. Looking for that special combination for your motor, just ask because we may have it, chances are we have already done it. Compression ratio’s from 7.5:1 to 12.5:1 have already been engineered and tested, no need to experiment with someone else’s product. We take the guesswork out of it for you.
Magnus pistons are built for maximum power. All pistons are for turbo and nitrous applications, unless specified for naturally aspirated use. Our pistons are designed to be lightest weight possible yet retain the most strength possible. High strength, taper wall pins are used in all applications. Pistons are designed to reduce thrust loading on cylinder walls, while prolonging bearing life at high RPM’s and remaining silent in their bores, even when installing at loose tolerances of .005” plus. Mitsubishi pistons feature our famous detonation fighting
quench pad dish.

Magnus Connecting Rods

Magnus 'I' beam billet connecting rods, the
highest quality connecting rods for your motor. Our connecting rods are
stress relieved and shot-peened for the ultimate in strength, and thoroughly
tested by by us to over 11,000 RPM.
The big and small
ends are finished to bottom sizes, to allow the professional engine builder
to set the proper clearances for their application. They are sold in
balanced sets, with the individual rod weights matched to within 1 gram. ARP 2000 - 220,000 psi
hardware is used throughout. |

| In our many years of racing experience, we would perform many selected operations to stock crankshafts to help us achieve our high horsepower and reliability goals. From knife-edging, to cryo treatment, to nitriding, to balancing, etc.
In essence we would take a 700 dollar factory crank and massage it until we have spent close to 2000 dollars on the finished piece. We were still left with a product made from an inferior material that had structural limitations that no amount of metal treatment could alleviate. So we decided to design our own crankshaft out of the highest quality materials, for the maximum strength while making it lighter than original and through careful counterweight reengineering, removed the harmonics that come with removing your balance shafts.
Magnus is now exclusively offering crankshafts manufactured from lightened 4340 Billet chromemoly
steel, with cross drilled oiling holes, large fillet radii, 2 lbs lighter than
stock--yet 3 times as strong.

We have decided to make available our personal batch of RACE Mitsubishi
crankshafts, for public consumption. They are available in limited
quantities only. Featuring a unique design, chrome moly construction, and
knife edged low inertia counter weights. This crank is perfectly sited for
high revving high horsepower applications. Currently available in 88mm and
92mm strokes. These cranks weigh in at a scant 13.3 kg (29.2 lbs).

4G63 6 Bolt Main Girdle
| Did you ever wonder why the 6 bolts never had a one piece main girdle like the 7
bolts? Don’t worry, this piece eliminates the common fretting problem found on
the main caps and main bearing wear associated with high revving engines, and
more commonly with the 100mm crank engines. The 6 bolt main girdles cleverly
help secure the center main to the adjacent mains on your motor. This piece is a
must with all high performance engine builds. Note, this piece must be used in
conjunction with main studs, and your block must be align honed.

Magnus Head Studs Back in Stock!
| Don't put together your latest engine build without these fasteners. When we
needed to hold down the cylinder head at all costs, "other" head studs were not
up to par. Since 2002 when we were exploring pressure of over 60 psi on our
methanol motors, we soon realized that what was available on the market was not
up to the task of keeping the head firmly planted under extreme conditions and

Magnus Metal Head Gasket
Tested on our race car to over 60psi of boost! You will not have
anymore head gasket issues with our head gasket used in conjunction with our
head studs. If you use them together and get both surfaces machined to our

Product Update - Magnus 2.2L
Magnus has
been a the forefront of 4G63 engine technology for over 10
years.
New to the Magnus stable of Engines is our phenomenal 2.2L powerplant. We cannot say enough about this powerplant, and are excited about its
potential. This engine was created for those who wanted slightly more
torque than the 2.0L provided, but wanted to rev higher than the 100mm 2.3L
and 2.4L motors allowed safely.Based on the 4G63 or 4G64 platforms, they have already proven themselves
in over 1 year of rigorous testing on the racetrack and on the street.
After the testing period is complete we are now able to release these
engines to the public. Featuring a broad flat torque curve, and favorable
rod ratio's ranging from 1.63 to 1.76. You can better your existing
2.0L rod ratio and still get more stroke and displacement. All the while, you
can still be able to get those all important revs out of your engine to
make that top end horsepower that small displacement engines are famous for.

EVOLUTION IV-VII
For the new to the North American market we offer several different engine packages for the EVO. Although the EVO motor is new to our shores, we have been building EVO motors for many years for customers in Asia, Europe, and the Middle
East. You can rest assured that we have years of experience in building these motors. Slightly different then their DSM brethren we have designed EVO compatible parts, we will not sell you “shelf 2G DSM” pistons for your EVO. For the EVO we have a few different engine packages that can appeal to Rally, Road Racing, Hill Climb and Drag Racing.
Complete NEW longblocks and shortblocks are now available for EVO. Due
to the scarcity of rebuild-able Mitsubishi evolution 2.0L block cores, we now
