JR Motorsports Evolution 8 Drag Monster
Magnus is proud to help in the preparation JR motorsports Evolution 8 Drag
monster. We can say without compromise that it is the most technologically
advanced AWD drag car that the world has ever seen. In the last 2 years since
the projects inception, countless hours of R&D was put into putting this concept
which started as a simple idea, into motion. Magnus Motorsports AWD drag racing
experience and builders of the worlds most powerful 4G63 engines was called upon as a consultant in building a full tube chassis AWD drag car
that would retain the spirit of the Mitsubishi Evolution, in the sport compact
drag racing tradition. The car retains AWD, transverse engine location, 4 wheel
independent suspension and all original Mitsubishi engine and transmission
castings all packed neatly into the standard body, true to the sport compact
roots. The car will be used as a proving ground to test the limits of the
Mitsubishi power plant inside an AWD platform. Full 25.1E chassis was
meticulously constructed entirely in the UK, to meet all SFI safety
specifications while retaining a 1030kg weight limit. This is the only AWD
certified 25.1E chassis of its kind that we know of (So far! Hopefully it will
inspire more!) The power plants were built entirely at Magnus Motorsports
facility in Canada and mapped in England, making this a true international
effort. We commend JR Motorsports for the impeccable execution of such an
exciting machine, and are very thrilled to be chosen as the engine supplier and
tuner for this phenomenal project.
