Over 10 years ago, Magnus Motorsports released its
first Sheet Metal Intake Manifold into the market place and it quickly
became the standard within the Mitsubishi Racing community. After almost
2 years in development, we would like to introduce you to the next big
thing. The Magnus Motorsports V5 Cast Aluminum EVO Intake Manifold.
We designed this one from a fresh sheet of paper. Out of over a dozen
prototypes, endless testing and perfecting, the Magnus Cast Intake
Manifold was born. We applied our years of experience from crafting
thousands of sheet metal intakes and once again have raised the bar for
power and quick response. By applying a unique design and a massive 5L
plenum, this cast manifold means big power and big power sooner!
Cast in A356 Aluminum with a wall thickness of 3/16"; the Plenum shape
features a varying contoured tapered profile at a volume of 5 liters.
The runners themselves are completely revolutionary in their design;
featuring an integrated velocity stack that gradually transitions into
the head port profile. It was designed entirely against the shape of the
original cylinder head port taking advantage the 10° port entry of the EVO head maintaining un-interrupted laminar flow. The Magnus Cast Intake
Manifold will work with throttle bodies from stock right up to 100mm and
have seen consistent gains from 30 awHp to 52 awHp with varying setups.
Transient boost response is exceptional and it can bolt together in a
stock location if required while still being able to be used on a full
blown race application.

Magnus Twin Rail V5 intake Manifold
After high demand for this intake manifold, we developed a slick new way run a dual rail setup on your EVO.
Because of the space limitations on the Evolution and the construction of the V5 plenum, it was difficult to mount the secondary rail. We have developed a unique mounting boss that positively locates the secondary rail with the mounting position of a factory style rail, while allowing almost zero distortion when welding to the plenum.
We start with a standard V5 manifold and accurately CNC-cut the negative of the boss so it will fit flush into the manifold for optimum airflow and fuel distribution.
You can be sure that the Rail will mount 100 percent squarely with your injector bosses.
This unique fixture is also available to purchase seperately for those fabricators who wish to install it on their own. Once you have welded it to the manifold, there is no need to make an extra tab to securely mount the rail as they are included and are an integral part of the base.
Why you would want a Magnus Twin Rail V5 intake Manifold?
- Same huge power gains as the original V5
- Improved driveability: if you have the ECU running the 8 injectors, the small injectors can be used as primaries for low speed driving, and then larger secondaries can be staged in at high loads
- If you already have large injectors and have outgrown them, another set of injectors may be enough to help you reach your power goal.
- Methanol or Ethanol power: when using Methanol or Ethanol, fuel delivery will need to be increased. Commercially available injectors are only available up to 2200cc. In order to achieve 1000+ hp at 10,000rpm on Methanol, your duty cycles will be roughly 80 percent with 8 2200cc injectors, depending largely on your setup.
- All new Magnus V5 manifolds come shipped with a stock throttle body adaptor (can mount 4 different orientations, throttle linkage adaptor (can be used in 3 different orientations) and gaskets
- All new Magnus V5 Manifolds are clearanced for the new Large body FIC injectors on the primary, one of the most popular injectors on the market

Always at the forefront of Mitsubishi racing and research and
development, we are proud to offer our newest version of the RACE intake
manifold the Magnus SPL intake.
Through our research and development of the 4G63 engine, higher and higher
rev limits have become far more commonplace in the racing world. Ever
increasing turbo size and advancing engine design, have allowed us to
achieve greater gains by altering the size of the plenum reservoir for Drag
racing applications.
