 Magnus Motorsports specializes in the design, engineering and development of automotive racing components.  In business since 1996, our worldwide race winning engine programs, intake manifolds, dry sump oiling systems, etc.  have set the industry standard.  Much of the work we do, and products we sell, are geared toward various late model sports cars used in all forms of motorsport worldwide.  Street cars, Drag cars, Track events, Hill climbs, rally cross, and road course racing.  We work with a wide variety of racing teams, professional and amateur, as well as OEM’s for prototype development and manufacture. Our facility is located in Toronto, Canada.  For those who don’t know Toronto is the one of the largest manufacturing hubs in North America, anything that is not done in house is locally available. 

 Our company is a lean manufacturing powerhouse, and we pump out a lot of cool parts from this place marketed under our brand, as well as jobs for other companies.  As we grow we always need to add talented, passionate gear heads to our team. CNC machinist

Here are the key areas of responsibility for this position:  If making extremely cool car shiny billet parts, molds and fixtures is your game, we need to talk to you.

We are looking for experienced machinists.

Minimum 2 years’ experience 4 years preferred

·         You will help work to keep our well-equipped shop area spotless and organized.   You need to be able to use manual mill and lathe. You need to have experience with CNC 3 axis, 5 axis mills and 2 axis lathes. You need to be able to set tool heights and work offsets. You need to know math. You need to have a working knowledge of Measuring equipment.  Understanding of how to read drawings and how to keep tolerance is expected.  You will be making fixtures, you will be editing G code, you will be changing tools and setting up jobs according to the setup sheet.  You should understand G code in a limited fashion to help debug programs,  Ability to create your own tool path’s through software  is a plus.  Needs to be able to recognize and optimize toolpathing in order to speed production.  (NO fresh air cuts)

CNC programmer

Minimum 2 years’ experience 4 years preferred

CAD CAM proficiency is a must.  Must be able to work within Solidworks, Fusion 360, Hypermill Hypercad or similar softwares

 Fabricator/Welder Welder/Fitter (Full Time)

We work on our own development test cars, build race cars, develop Fixtures and Jigs and offer other fabrication and repair services to our customers. What we need is an experienced fabricator with Pro level experience and keeps a clean work environment; Some Automotive and fixture welding experience will definitely help. Someone who works clean is important to us, A clean work area makes for clean work.  

You will be required to have your own helmet and gloves.  You will be required to have your own hand tools. You will be required to clean your work area at the end of the day.  You will be welding from layout plans,  blueprints and 3D models.  You will be Notching tubes, Tig welding, Mig welding, designing prototypes and fixtures, making intercooler piping, rollcages, chassis, subframes, mounting brackets and helping to prototype, along with production welding of multiple parts.   You will be joining our existing staff of mechanics, fabricators, mechanical engineers and a shop foreman. 

Here are the key areas of responsibility for this position:

·         custom suspension components, roll cages, custom exhausts and headers, along with some minor machine work, (manual lathe, manual milling machine, bandsaw) aluminum intake manifolds, and other aluminum parts.

·         Must weld TIG and MIG, stainless TIG and Aluminum a must

·         Work to keep our well equipped shop area spotless and organized

·         Compensation would be appropriate to experience level and within racing industry norms

The right candidate will be able to show examples of their prior fabrication, has a strong attention to detail, and can get along well with anyone. Hours are 9am-5.30pm, Monday-Friday and our facility is located in Concord Ontario Canada (suburb of Toronto).

 Order Manager/Inside Sales (Full Time)

Our sales numbers are growing and we need another gear head to manage our order fulfillment and to help with phone sales. If you are passionate about the automotive motorsports industry and can multi-task in a fast paced environment, then we are looking for you. We need a Full Time employee in our Order Fulfillment and Inside Sales department here at Magnus. This position would be ideal for someone experienced in a wide range of automotive areas that can “talk car tech” with customers and dealers. Primarily they would be responsible for taking orders, assembling various products we manufacture (camber plates, shock kits, V8 swap kits) or resell, and packaging and shipping orders that originate from phone, email and online e-commerce sales. Billing customers In addition, some customer support is also going to be needed, via email and phone, helping customers choose the right suspension parts and/or how to install them. The Order Manager position includes but is not limited to the following responsibilities: 

·         Inventory management – Keeping track of parts inventory, inventory counts, creating purchase orders for drop ship sales.

·         Phone Interface – Ability to speak to customers and dealers, both for customer service and to turn phone calls into sales. Prior sales experience is required

·         Build Orders – Look up applications, assemble components (with simple hand tools), and create “assemblies” in our accounting system (to keep inventory numbers correct) – all while keeping the order area clean, stocked with small parts, organized and efficient

·         Shipping – Pack and weigh orders, create shipping labels using UPS and Canada Post modules, manage pick-ups

·         Purchasing – Creating purchase orders for inventory reorder for stock, current orders, and drop ship orders.

·         Returns – Processing customer returns of parts when needed.

·         Inside Sales – Answering phone calls and backing up the sales staff.

·         Paperwork – Create Sales Receipts and Sales Invoices within our accounting software for all outgoing sales. Experience with Quickbooks preferred

·         Multitasking – As you can see there are a lot of duties for this position, so it needs to be a person that doesn’t mind wearing a lot of hats and can juggle multiple tasks at once

The right candidate for Order Manager will have strong phone and email skills, a good attention to detail, can organize and run their own area (parts, tools, orders, packages and notes), and can get along well with others. Prior shipping experience is a plus, as is basic automotive knowledge. There is some lifting of boxes up to 50 pounds and other light physical labor required for this position. Outside Sales Marketing (Full Time)

We need an outside salesperson who is willing to use their existing array of contacts and drum up new business opportunities for the company but most importantly they must sell.

You will not be required to relocate this can be a remote position.  You will be required to travel, visit clients, attend trade shows, attend racing events and be a representative and ambassador of the brand. 

Prior experience, and knowledge of our specific catalog and brand of parts is a must as well, as our capabilities in motorsports engineering.

Mechanic Automotive Technician

You will need minimum 2 years automotive experience working on cars. You will need to keep a clean work area. You will need to know how to assembly engines and transmissions, have a general knowledge or wiring.  You will not need to bring your own toolbox but you will need to have your own tools.

Mechanical Designer

Must be highly proficient in CAD, ability to use Solidworks Fusion 360, HyperCAD or other CAD software. Must be able to work in assemblies.  Must be able to reverse engineer from existing parts and or components to take our ideas or prototypes into the CAD environment. Must have general understanding of automotive engines and automotive engineering principals.

You will be designing new parts and prototype assemblies.  We don’t mind if you are fresh out of school let us see you resume and samples of your work.
